The ideal Dental Assistant / Orthodontic Assistant candidate will assist the orthodontist in providing quality orthodontic care to all patients. Brief Description of Assistant Duties: Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations & procedures Prepare & sterilize instruments / equipment Maintain a clean operatory Taking impressions, iTero scans, photoxe2x80x99s, and x-rays Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, & post-treatment care Maintain accurate patient records & treatment plans Utilize knowledge of dental terminology, & HIPAA regulations Preparing inventory ordering Liaising with the Front Desk & Doctors Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Previous experience in a dental clinic or orthodontic practice preferred, not required Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as individually Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures Maintain patient confidentiality Licensed Dental Assistant in the State of NY Positive and cooperative attitude in working and communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization Come Join the Orthodontists Associates of WNY team!
