Qualifications Registered Dental Hygienist licensed in Massachusetts (Required) Current CPR certification and Radiology Certification Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and practices Excellent interpersonal skills and good chair side manners. Proven dedication to provide high quality and comprehensive dental care Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment Understands and complies with state dental practice requirements such as OSHA, HIPAA Responsibilities Performs dental hygiene services and procedures xe2x80x93 o dental prophylaxis – cleaning deposits and stains from all surfaces of the teeth and from beneath gum margins o fluoride and sealants xe2x80x93 prevent dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents o scaling and root planing- feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession, charting o diagnostic care xe2x80x93 digital intra-oral x-rays Assesses patient’s teeth, bone, and periodontal condition and document any abnormalities or suspected conditions. Prepares the dental room for providing the treatment and welcomes the patient and prepares them for their treatment by seating them and making them feel comfortable before the procedure. Provides education to patient on maintaining oral health by proper tooth brushing, flossing, and dietary counseling. Accurately document any findings relating to the patientxe2x80x99s oral examination Works with the dentist to create treatment care plan Maintains and sterilizes instruments used for dental hygiene treatment Assist with other duties as needed, including sterilization and front desk We Offer: Consistent flow of patients and flexible work hours.
