Overview The Dental Insurance Coordinator position requires a highly motivated, solution-oriented person who can multitask various objectives simultaneously. A deep knowledge and understanding of dentistry: treatment planning, presenting large cases, dental insurance, accounts receivable, etc., coupled with the ability to effectively communicate how one relates to the other, is a must. Schedule: Full-time Duties & Responsibilities Advanced understanding of dental insurance administration. Experience with dental accounts receivable and knowledge of balances in account ledger. Prepare invoices and handle account inquiries. Present treatment plans and financial responsibilities effectively to patients. Address patient concerns while remaining calm, effective, and even-tempered in high-pressure circumstances. Coordinate the schedules of multiple providers, as needed. Manage patient accounts, insurance, and financial arrangements. Other duties and responsibilities as needed. Required Skills/Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to connect with patients in a kind and professional manner. Ability to multitask to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment, that requires analyzing, communicating, and maintaining large amounts of data. Knowledge of dental procedures and codes, terminology, and the use of dental operating software, as well as financial details of said procedures. Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to PHI and HIPAA laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and dental software. Exceptional attention-to-detail and organizational skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. 3 years of experience in a fast-paced dental office presenting intricate cases and the corresponding financial needs required. Eaglesoft practice management software preferred. Customer Service experience. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of periods of standing and bending. Must be able to lift <15 pounds at times.
