Position Summary: The Dental Front Desk Receptionist/Dental Assistant is responsible for the coordination of patient care, including scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, coordinating pre-approvals, and coordination of office tasks, including inventory and vendor management, staff coordination and also providing patient education. The ideal candidate will be responsible for communicating with patients, clients, and other providers to keep everyone informed. Salary will be based on education experience. Direct experience in a dental office is a must. Schedule appointments for patients Complete Insurance Eligibility, Verification and other insurance related tasks Assist patients with completing paperwork Coordinate referrals and care documentations with other healthcare providers and hospitals Coordinate staff assignments manage supplies and inventory Provide patient education Process patient payments Assist to maintain patient records Assist with other administrative tasks as needed Assist in dental procedures when needed Language Skills: English (Essential), Spanish (Essential) Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following. Education/Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in dental office is a must; Language Ability: Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Mathematical Ability: Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: Microsoft and Google Suite knowledge preferred as well as scheduling software. The Patient Coordinator will be primarily onsite at practice location and affiliated Hospital/s. The work environment is generally quiet to moderate.
