Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice and provide exceptional patient care. Responsibilities: – Assist hygienists during patient exams, cleanings, and procedures- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and equipment- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse- Utilize anatomy knowledge to assist with patient positioning and visualization- Demonstrate aseptic technique to maintain a clean and safe environment- Manage medical documentation and maintain accurate patient records- Utilize Dentrix software for scheduling and dental charting purposes- Perform medical coding and billing tasks- Collaborate with the team to provide comprehensive patient care- Perform other administrative and clinical tasks as needed Qualifications: – High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of a dental assisting program would be preferred but not necessary- Proficiency in medical terminology- Experience with dental imaging procedures- Familiarity with dental software, including Dentrix- Knowledge of dental coding and billing processes would be preferred but not necessary- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift equipment and supplies- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment- Certification in Dental Assisting or willingness to obtain This position is ideal for those who are passionate about patient care and are looking to advance their careers in the dental field.
