Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Title: Dental Hygienist / Periodontal Therapist Job Overview:We are seeking skilled Dental Hygienists to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality dental care in our privately owned office and educating patients to promote oral health in a professional and friendly manner. As a Dental Hygienist/Periodontal Therapist, you will work closely with our dentists and may also assist in various dental procedures to ensure optimal patient care. Responsibilities:- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices- Take digital dental x-rays (We use Dexis and cone beam technology)- Administer local anesthetics (if licensed)- Assist dentists during procedures- Maintain and update patient electronic medical records- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols- Utilize dental software for patient documentation Qualifications:- Certificate or Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene and valid GA license- Proficiency in medical terminology- Experience working in a dental office or clinic- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures is helpful- Familiarity with electronic records systems- Strong understanding of infection control protocols- Ability to accurately document medical information Our periodontal therapists are licensed registered dental hygienists and have been practicing dental hygiene from 4 to more than 30 years! In addition to being skilled hygienists, they are excellent educators. Their primary commitment is to provide conservative, non-surgical treatment of gum disease and care of dental implants to limit or eliminate tooth or implant loss. They promote proper oral hygiene, removal of plaque, and hard and soft tissue deposits from tooth and root surfaces, and monitor any progression or recurrence of disease. They understand that what they do for their patients is critical to the long-term success of periodontal and implant treatment.
