Responsibilities: Works collaboratively with Human Resources to perform functions relevant to interviewing, hiring, onboarding, developing and evaluating administrative assistants. Evaluates resource allocation of administrative staff including development of metrics to evaluate need and efficiency. Produces and promotes quality improvement initiatives with regards to essential administrative functions and systems. Creates, implements and directs communications that effectively promote the organization. Qualifications: Education: Associate or Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a similar role. Skills: Must complete Ambassador Program within first 12 months of employment. Experience: 5 – 10 years administrative experience, as well as 3 – 5 years of office management or supervisory experience preferred. Experience in a healthcare setting may be desired. MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Percent of time spent on: 50% Typing on computer 25% Answering phones 11% Miscellaneous paperwork associated with research and OSU faculty appointment 10% Acting as liaison 02% Xeroxing 02% Filing Minimum physical requirements: 100% Kneeling / reaching 100% Finger dexterity 100% Talking / hearing / seeing 33% Lifting / carrying weight 0-20 pounds for 1-5 minutes 33% Pushing a cart with weight 50-100 pounds for 5-10 minutes Pressure in this position will vary depending on the workload. The workload will be heavy but manageable most of the time.
