We are looking to hire a reliable and long-term dental assistant for our small dental practice located in Reading, MA. Our small office setting allows better interaction with our patients, and more attention to detail. We are a 3-operatory practice in a newly renovated office space located in downtown Reading, MA. We currently work three 10 hour days – currently on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Additonal hours are sometimes available on Tuesdays, as we occasionally schedule larger patient cases on Tuesdays to allow for greater focus. Duties: – Seat patients and assist the dentist during dental procedures with 4-handed dentistry – Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures – Take and develop dental x-rays – Sterilize and maintain dental instruments – Provide post-operative instructions to patients – Assist front desk with answering phone calls, as needed – Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions, shipping lab cases, etc – Maintain stock of dental and office materials, maintaining an ordering list – Cleaning office and operatories Requirements: – High school diploma or equivalent – Completion of an accredited dental assistant program – X-ray certification If no dental assisting degree or X-ray certification, on the job training is possible. However, this requires willingness to register with Massachusetts to complete X-ray certification and pass the dental assisting exam during your on the job training – Knowledge of Open Dental and other dental software systems – Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols – Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment – Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines If you are a dedicated Dental Assistant looking to join a dynamic team, we would love to hear from you.
