Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with our dental team to provide quality care to our patients. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with dental procedures, taking and developing dental x-rays, and ensuring the comfort of our patients throughout their visit. Duties:- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring models and trimming temporary crowns- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation as necessary- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have Experience:- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required- Knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and procedures- Familiarity with medical coding systems is a plus- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable- Proficient in using dental software systems for record keeping Skills:- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and dental team members- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Proficient in medical terminology related to dentistry We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
