**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist with patient care, perform various dental procedures, and ensure excellent patient service. Ideally this would be a full time position but part time can be considered. We are willing to train the right person, but prior experience is a plus. **Duties:** – Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures – Set up and prepare equipment and instruments – Take and develop dental x-rays – Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment – Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures – Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies -managing inventory and ordering supplies – Perform various office tasks as needed **Experience:** -prior experience with digital scanners – Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance -CPR certified -valid maine radiography license – Proficiency in dental assisting techniques – Understanding of infection control procedures – Proficiency in dentrix or similar dental software systems – Knowledge of aseptic techniques in a dental setting – Experience in medical documentation This position requires a candidate who is team player, positive, detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
