Dental Assistant Position – Eastern Carolina Dental, Jacksonville, NC – Apply Online! We are searching for a team oriented individual who wants to provide excellent customer service for our patients, provide excellent support to our doctors, and possess a likable chair-side attitude. Ability to multitask, flexibility, a team oriented attitude, and attention to detail are a must! We are a fast paced family comprehensive dental practice. Paperless office with digital radiographs and a knowledgeable and friendly team. This is a long standing practice in the area and is known for the great care we take with patients and employees alike. Responsibilities of Dental Assistant Assist Chair-side throughout various procedures in all aspects of Dentistry Maintain CPR certification. Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs. Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts. Clean and polish removable appliances. Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients. Record treatment information in patient records. Expose dental diagnostic x-rays. Actively provide hand instruments and materials as needed to Dentist during exams and procedures in order to help maintain patient comfort and Dentistxe2x80x99s efficiency. Using and maintaining hazard control protocols as established by OSHA and office standards and NC regulations. Strictly adhere to all HIPAA standards in order to maintain patient confidentiality. Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner. Maintain regular attendance and adhere to assigned work schedule and office policies. Must be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignments. Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings. Perform routine equipment maintenance and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
