Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible during their visit Sterilize dental instruments properly Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patientsxe2x80x99 teeth remove plaque, apply fluoride and place sealants) Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene care by demonstrating good brushing techniques Take x-rays, 3D-scans and dental impressions Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for gum disease Maintain clinical documentation and charts on each patient Patient and hygiene department stats Participate in team trainings Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist Outstanding communication skills Positive and friendly personality – drama free! Attention to detail Time oriented to maintain patient schedule Dentrix dental program is a plus!
