Eastern Dental in Grayson is looking for a part-time dental hygienist that will become a full-time position in the coming months. We are currently only seeing patients on Wednesdays and Fridays but we will be adding an associate in the next couple of months that will open the office from Tuesday-Friday. Responsibilities: – Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth- Take and develop dental x-rays- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for dental care- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed- Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile working environment- Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and medical history accurately in electronic dental records systems (Dentrix, Eaglesoft)- Follow all HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies Experience: – Proficient in using dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft)- Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems for digital impressions- Knowledge of medical coding and insurance billing processes- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus- Strong understanding of medical records documentation requirements As a Dental Hygienist at our practice, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals and make a positive impact on patients’ oral health.
