About us Mountain Town Dental is a thriving dental practice in West Jefferson, NC. We have a wonderful team and patient base. Responsibilities:- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care- Conduct patient assessments, including medical history review and oral cancer screenings- Take and develop dental x-rays as needed- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing instruments and materials- Maintain a clean and sterile environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols- Utilize dental software systems for patient scheduling, charting, and treatment planning- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care Qualifications:- Valid dental hygiene license in NC- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program- Proficiency in performing dental hygiene procedures, including scaling and root planing- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures, including chairside assisting and instrument sterilization- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is preferred- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health care Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
