Dental Hygienist Private Practice – East Amherst, NY – Full-time position for a registered dental hygienist. Wexe2x80x99re looking to add a motivated Full-time RDH to our growing practice. Essential Qualities in a Candidate: High focus on patient education Time management skills Experience with, or open to using and learning new technologies like Guided Biofilm therapy, Airflow, DSLR photography, Itero 5D wellness scans for all patients, and CBCT. Important emphasis on co-diagnosis In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Willing to help your fellow teammates in every aspect including, but not limited to answering phones, perio charting. dental charting, dental assisting, collect payment, and presenting tx plans. Qualifications: Current NYS dental hygiene license Must have and wear dental loupes with head light Minimum of 1 year dental hygiene experience (preferred) CPR certification Prior knowledge of Open Dental Software is a plus, but not required as we will provide training Essential Responsibilities: Direct patient care including taking diagnostic x-rays (CBCT, FMX, BW), Intraoral Itero wellness scans, intraoral photos Ensure the highest levels of patient safety are practiced at all times, individually and collectively throughout the practice Reviewing and updating medical history Dental prophylaxis, examinations, topical fluoride, dental sealants, scaling and root planing, resin infiltration, whitening Willingness to cross-train and answer phones, schedule patients, etc. Post-operative patient phone calls Sterilization Monitoring, organizing, storage, and ordering supplies Co-diagnoses with the dentist to engage patients in their own treatment plans Patient education!
