The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking a full-time hygienist for its affiliated Ohio State Dental Faculty Practice (OSDFP). When our faculty dentists and faculty hygienists are not teaching the next generation of dentists and hygienists, our faculty provide expert care for children and adults through OSDFP and provide virtually every area of dental care available. Serve as a hygienist performing dental hygiene services in the Ohio State Dental Faculty Practice in the College of Dentistry; stocks and set up operatories; manages patient record; and provides education to patients. Schedule Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 7:30-4:30 Compensation $34.71 – $43.39/hour, dependent upon experience A dental hygienist needs to be able to use of both hands, dexterity in the fingers and the ability to manipulate instruments, materials, dental handpieces, and operate dental equipment. The use of feet is necessary to manipulate the rheostat for handpieces or other dental equipment. The body must be able to work from a dental stool in order to perform most dental procedures. The ability to sit and stand for a duration of time is also necessary. Other specific requirements include color spectrum differentiation; manual dexterity/motor coordination, hand-eye coordination, physical communications; visual acuity and communication/language development. Individuals in this position may be exposed to the following: bloodborne pathogens; chemical hazards (skin irritants); vibrating equipment; use of sharp instruments; and latex. Required: An Associatexe2x80x99s or bachelorxe2x80x99s degree from an accredited Dental Hygiene Program; be a licensed dental hygienist in the state of Ohio. Desired: Minimum 3-5 years of clinical dental hygiene experience Regular 32 First Shift
