Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the dentist in delivering preventive and therapeutic dental care. Duties: – Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling, root planning, and polishing – Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) – Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist – Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions – Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and oral cancer screenings – Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety – Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans using Dentrix or similar dental software – Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures – Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care – Stay updated on current dental practices and advancements through continuing education Skills: – Dental assisting experience, preferably as a Dental Hygienist – Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software – Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry – Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols – Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus – Strong patient assessment skills, including the ability to identify oral health issues – Comprehensive understanding of dental anatomy and oral structures – Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
