As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, provide patient education, and assist the dentist in various procedures. Duties: – Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque and tartar buildup – Conduct thorough patient assessments, including oral health screenings and medical history reviews – Take and develop dental x-rays as needed – Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials – Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care – Administer local anesthesia or nitrous oxide as directed by the dentist – Document patient information accurately in electronic health records systems (such as Dentrix) – Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment – Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent patient care Experience: – Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist – Proficiency in using dental software systems (such as Dentrix or Open Dental) for medical documentation and coding – Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options – Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality – Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written – Ability to work well in a team environment We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
