A Day In the Life Of: As a Dental Hygienist at Danville Family Dentistry, you’ll have the chance to postively impact the lives of our patients. From preventing dental diseases to transforming smiles, your role will be instrumental in helping people achieve optimal oral heatlh and regain their confidence. Cleans calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums using dental instruments. Examines gums for disease and lymph nodes for oral cancer. Applies fluorides or other cavity-preventing agents to arrest dental decay. Exposes and develops x-ray film Records and reviews patient medical histories. Charts conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist. Provides health education to improve and maintain the oral health of patients. Provide prophylaxis and periodontal treatments What You’ll Bring To The Table: We are looking for an energetic, compassionate, hard working individual who is passionate about the dental needs of their patients! Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of general principles of dentistry and advanced knowledge of dental hygiene. Strong customer service skills. Education and Experience: Associate degree or the successful completion of a recognized vocational program in dental hygiene. State license required. New graduates welcome to apply!
