We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, calm Registered Dental Hygienist who loves working with children. The ideal candidate will perform well on a team, share ideas about how we can excel, and focus on patient happiness. Responsibilities include: Escort patients to and from the treatment room Review patient health history forms and update as necessary Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis for patients Perform scaling and selective polishing for selected patients Perform thorough intraoral and extraoral examinations Obtain radiographs as prescribed by the dentist Apply cavity-preventive agents, such as fluoride and sealants Teach patients proper oral hygiene techniques Record clinical notes, pertinent observations, and responses to recommendations Record and sequence treatment plan as directed by the dentist Help patients feel comfortable Schedule or pinboard the next continuing care appointment Assist in the administration of the recall system Educational/Skill Requirements: Licensed to practice in state and meet other applicable state requirements Experience providing prophylaxis and taking X-rays Able to use practice management software (Dentrix) We have one location, and we participate with the best PPOs (no DMOxe2x80x99s or government insurance). Hiring for full-time and part-time, including up to 4 weekdays per week and some Saturdays. The pay is very competitive. Benefits available for full-time. We cover up to half of the cost of participating in our health insurance plan for full-time employees.
