Responsibilities:

• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing.
• Conduct thorough dental assessments and screenings to identify oral health issues.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions.
• Take dental x-rays and assist with other diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments as prescribed by the dentist.
• Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and oral health assessments accurately.
• Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
• Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• Assist with dental office administrative tasks and patient scheduling as needed.

Requirements:

• Valid dental hygiene license in the state of Florida.
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Proven experience as a dental hygienist preferred.
• Proficiency in performing dental hygiene procedures with precision and efficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
• Knowledge of dental software and digital radiography systems is a plus.
