We are looking for an Experienced Expanded Duties Dental Assistant to join our team at our General Dentistry office located in Evansville, IN. 1-2 years of working experience as an EDDA preferred. Looking for applicants that are upbeat, team players, eager to learn, motivated, dependable, super friendly, and able to multitask in a fast-paced dental office environment. Youxe2x80x99ll ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentistxe2x80x99s shoulders. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. Our office is a state of the art 5,000 so ft. facility with large and private patient operatories to work in and make our patients feel comfortable. We utilize the latest in technology such as 3D CBCT radiographs, 3D intraoral scanning, high speed electric handpieces, rotary endodontic systems, digital radiographs, and more to provide the very best care to our patients. Our office is truly a general dental office where we place and restore implants, do removeable prosthetics such as partials and dentures, some endodontic procedures, and oral surgery for tooth removal. As an EDDA/EFDA, your main function will be to assist the dentist during these procedures and restore class 1-5 restorations unassisted. You must be competent at placing composite restorations. Each filling will be verified it is properly done with a post-op radiograph to ensure excellent quality control. Assisting dentist during procedures Taking and processing X-rays of patients Processing lab work for the dentist Advising patients on recommended oral hygiene Updating and maintaining dental records Handling general administrative tasks within the clinic such as Front Office duties as and when needed Placing composite restorations Fabricating and cementing temporary crowns Job Type: Full-time Pay: $27.00 – $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 34 per week Benefits: 401(k) matching Employee discount Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Experience: Dental assisting: 2 years (Preferred) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Required) EFDA Certification (Required) Work Location: In person
