Duties:- Assist the orthodontist in providing patient care and treatment during orthodontic procedures- X-ray certification required- Knowledge of how to sterilize and maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment – Assisting with patient scheduling and record keeping.- Assist with patient assessment, including taking dental impressions and X-rays- Taking impressions and/or Itero Scans for orthodontic appliances- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care and communicate effectively with patients and their families to address questions and concerns. Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred – Orthodontic assisting experience required- Current certification as a dental assistant or orthodontic assistant preferred- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality orthodontic care to our patients. You will work closely with the orthodontist to ensure that each patient receives personalized treatment and achieves optimal oral health.
