Our dental office is looking for an outstanding dental assistant who will make our restorative and pediatric practices more efficient and pleasant for patients. If you want to help deliver great dentistry while enjoying your work week, you owe it to yourself to call! Dental assistant should be reliable, well-organized, and pay great attention to detail. You should be able to work well in a team environment. Prior surgical experience a definite plus and would increase potential hours. Responsibilities Welcome patients into the dental office Prepare patients for treatments while ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions per doctor Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient records and charting Be available to assist multiple specialties and general dentistry Skills Proven experience as dental assistant (school trained or CDA – Certified Dental Assistant) Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Dental assisting license a must This well-rounded candidate will be expected to work with our various specialists and restorative dentists. Additional hours are always available!
