About us We are a 2-doctor general practice located in Los Gatos, California. Strict infection control protocol is followed. We are looking for a professional who is licensed to perform all duties of an RDA. Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. Responsibilities: – Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area, sterilizing instruments, and handing instruments to the dentist – Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist – Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records – Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety – Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions – Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and properly maintained – Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality – Collaborate with other dental professionals to provide comprehensive patient care Requirements: – Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant certification from an accredited dental assisting program – Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments – Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and operating dental equipment – Strong organizational skills with attention to detail – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment – Familiarity with dental software systems (e.g., CAD, Epic) is a plus – Understanding of medical coding is preferred We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
