Responsibilities:- Perform dental hygiene procedures such as dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing- Conduct patient assessments, including oral health screenings and reviewing medical history- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions- Administer local anesthesia as needed- Take dental x-rays and perform other diagnostic procedures- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including providing instruments and materials- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Requirements:- Valid state dental hygiene license- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program- Proficiency in patient assessment and treatment planning- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred- Familiarity with medical coding systems for billing purposes- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and practices- Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions- Ability to take vital signs and interpret medical imaging results We offer competitive compensation packages, including benefits such as retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
