We can’t wait to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: Perform dental cleanings to remove plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth. Conduct oral health assessments and screenings, including periodontal evaluations. Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants to prevent tooth decay. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary habits. Take dental x-rays and assist with other diagnostic procedures as needed. Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records. Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control guidelines. Follow up with patients to ensure compliance with treatment plans and schedule routine appointments. Participate in continuing education courses to stay updated on the latest developments in dental hygiene practices. Periodontal education and diagnosing for patients. Requirements: Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program. Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist. Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a dental practice. Excellent knowledge of oral hygiene principles and preventive dental care. Proficiency in conducting dental cleanings and performing periodontal assessments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate patient records. Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records systems (Opendental). Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards. CPR certification may be required depending on state regulations. Willingness to participate in professional development activities and continuing education courses. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with digital dental x-ray systems. Certification is dental lasering. Bilingual proficiency in English and another language may be advantageous in serving diverse patient populations.
