We are seeking a passionate and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a vital member of our dental practice, you will play a key role in providing exceptional oral care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: – Reviewing oral health history and conducting initial screenings to assess patient needs and oral health status. – Educating patients on proper oral care techniques and the importance of diet in maintaining optimal oral health. – Taking X-rays, intra-oral photos, and dental impressions to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. – Removing plaque and calculus through scaling and root planing procedures to prevent oral diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis. – Supporting the Dentist in all aspects of dental care, including assisting during procedures and providing patient education. – Applying preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride to teeth to protect against decay and promote oral health. – Identifying and documenting conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis, and communicating findings to the Dentist. – Taking intraoral photos to document treatment progress and educate patients about their oral health. – Scheduling recall appointments for routine check-ups and preventive care. – Following up with patients after periodontal treatment to ensure optimal healing and maintenance of oral health. Requirements: – Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program. – Current state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist. – CPR certification. – Excellent written and oral communication skills. – A friendly, team-player attitude. – Proficiency in taking X-rays, intra-oral photos, and dental impressions. – Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively. – Excellent clinical skills in plaque and calculus removal, preventive care, and periodontal therapy. – Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dental team. – Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. – Prior experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not required.
