Essential Duties: Prepare and attend morning huddles with the team Welcome and seat the patient cheerfully Prepare and adequately set up treatment rooms for hygiene procedures Review and update patientxe2x80x99s health history; chart progress, treatments, and home care compliance Perform head and neck/oral cancer exams. Capture x-rays, process, and download for the doctor to view; capable of interpreting x-rays independently. Assess and evaluate patients through exams, patient records, and patient medical history to assist in the diagnosis of dental hygiene problems, disease, and efficacy of administered treatment plans. Complete scheduled treatments. Recognize early signs of periodontal disease and through our periodontal training use laser therapy and arrestin therapy to support treating periodontal disease Provide proper hygiene therapies for patients Develop and present treatment plans. Apply fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents to arrest dental decay Educate and motivate patients on proper oral hygiene and corrective/preventative measures.
