Then you have found your new home with Hart Dental Hygiene. At Hart Dental Hygiene, we take care of our hygienists so that you can provide the absolute best quality care to your patients. We opened our first location in Pueblo, CO in January 2022 and are looking to expand into the Fort Collins area. We take care of all the administrative needs (billing, insurance, supplies, etc.) so you can focus on providing quality patient care. This also allows flexibility with hygienist and patient scheduling. Studies show that patients would get their routine dental cleanings more often if they didn’t have to see the dentist every time. Prevention is the first step in oral healthcare and at Hart Dental Hygiene, we strive to create a comfortable environment for our patients to help ease the anxiety of dental visits so they keep coming back and make oral care a priority in their lives. As a hygienist, you are your patients Primary Oral Care Provider. Responsibilities Ensure every patient receives our Patient Comfort First Experience during their visit. Sterilize dental instruments properly Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Take X-rays or dental impressions Remove deposits and strains from teeth by scaling and root planning. Obtain and review dental history and/or records from patient (review patient health history and care slips). Ensure that the health history is updated for all returning patients Assist in the prevention and control of dental caries (decay) and gum disease. Select and use appropriate fluoride treatments and polish tooth restorations Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL, HR policies and practices) Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Degree or certification for Hygiene from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to meet state licensure requirements. Commitment to continuing education for hygiene and dentistry Valid and current Registered Dental Hygienist license in accordance with applicable state licensure requirements Work Remotely No Job Type: Contract Pay: From $80.00 per hour Benefits: Flexible schedule Professional development assistance Schedule: 10 hour shift 12 hour shift 4 hour shift 8 hour shift Weekends as needed License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist License (Required) Ability to Relocate: La Junta, CO: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
