“`Duties“`- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking dental x-rays, and applying fluoride treatments- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care- Conduct thorough dental assessments and screenings to identify any oral health issues or concerns- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, such as fillings or extractions- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation of patient treatments and progress- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff- Utilize dental software systems, such as Eaglesoft, for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing “`Skills“`- Proficient in medical imaging techniques and able to accurately capture dental x-rays- Knowledge of medical coding procedures to properly document and bill for services rendered- Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Eaglesoft, for efficient record keeping and scheduling- Strong understanding of anatomy and oral health principles to provide effective patient assessments- Ability to maintain aseptic technique during procedures to prevent cross-contamination- Excellent patient assessment skills to identify potential oral health issues or concerns Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
