Posting Summary Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) is seeking a Dental Assistant III for the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, this position will support the department by providing clinical assistance for the Department of Pediatric Dentistry/Special Care Treatment Center. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Serves as a Dental Assistant to assist Faculty and Postgraduate Students with patient care. Sets up and stocks units daily. Reports equipment malfunction or breakdown to Clinical Supervisor. Transports instruments to/from sterilization in accordance to schedule. Maintains safe and clean working environment by adhering to RSDM infection control policy and departmental protocol. Assists with the ordering of disposable supplies as needed. Provides clerical and office duties as assigned. Provides translation as needed for Non-English speaking patients (Spanish/Portuguese etc). Ensures patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner, and maintain patient confidentiality. Performs other related duties as assigned.
