Job Summary:Busy and growing pediatric dental office is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. Our office is located closer to the Holland tunnel (10 minutes bus ride from port authority). As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. Duties:- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing- Take and develop dental x-rays (mostly assisted by a DA)- Conduct oral cancer screenings- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care- Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and medical history accurately- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and attend continuing education courses Skills:- Proficiency in dental systems and software for patient management- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic technique- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions- Familiarity with dental assisting procedures and techniques- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality- Excellent documentation skills for accurate dental records- -Must have Spanish speaking ability.
