The Opportunity: Chevy Chase Dentistry in Lexington, KY, is Hiring Now! This position will be Part-Time offering great benefits. Flexible Schedule: Monday-Thursday (1-2 days a week) Competitive starting wage, $30-$40 hourly (based on experience). Potential to convert to a full-time position with Medical/Vision and 401K A Day In the Life Of: As our newest team member and hygienist, you will interact with patients and collaborate with a great team! Prophylaxis Periodontal therapy Diode laser (if certified) Administer anesthetic (if certified) Exposes and develops digital x-rays. Records and reviews patient medical histories. Applies fluorides or other cavity-preventing agents to arrest dental decay. Charts conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist Provides patient hygiene instruction and dental education to improve and maintain the oral health of patients. Cleans calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums using dental instruments. What You’ll Bring To The Table: Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of general principles of dentistry and advanced knowledge of dental hygiene. Strong customer service skills working with patients. Education and Experience: Associate degree or the successful completion of a recognized vocational program in dental hygiene. Proven work history at least 1 year preferred. State license required.
