Overview:As of August 1st, a new dentist is joining our team. Hours are Monday through Thursday 8-5. We are seeking a skilled, dependable and motivated Licensed Dental Assistant to assist her. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast paced and supportive environment. Duties:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments- Take dental x-rays- Perform basic dental procedures, such as applying sealants and fluoride treatments- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during examinations and treatments- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical documentation systems (e.g., Epic)- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique- Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow Skills:- Proficient in medical documentation and maintaining accurate patient records- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable- Competent in taking dental x-rays- Familiarity with medical imaging software/systems- Ability to assist the dentist during various dental procedures- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry Requirements:- Dental assisting license – Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent experience- X-Ray certification required- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills We offer competitive compensation, including benefits such as retirement plans, and paid time off.
